For a long time, I didn't know what was wrong with my body. Despite a healthy diet, exercise, and all my efforts, my legs and arms grew in size – with no apparent explanation. I felt misunderstood, often frustrated, and sometimes helpless. Comments like "You just need to exercise more" or "Just eat less" hurt me deeply, even though I secretly knew something wasn't right.

The diagnosis of lipedema came as a shock to me—and at the same time, a relief. Finally, I had an answer. I finally understood why my body was behaving differently. But with the diagnosis came many questions: How do I deal with it? What can I do myself? Where can I find support?

Over time, I learned to stop fighting my body and start working with it. I started paying attention to an anti-inflammatory diet, incorporating gentle exercise into my daily routine, and taking regular, conscious time out. Compression therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, and above all, self-care – all of this became part of my new daily routine.

This journey wasn't always easy, but it led me to myself. Today, I share my experiences so that others feel less alone. I want to encourage, inform, and show that a good, fulfilling life is possible even with lipedema—with enjoyment, energy, and a loving attitude toward one's own body.
